Tesla Extended Warranties

When you think of an electric vehicle, we’re willing to bet that the first one that springs to mind is the futuristic Tesla. The smaller carbon footprint, plethora of cool features, and cheap running costs are just some of the reasons motorists love the brand, and it’s a car that many rely on. It figures, then, that those who rely on them will want a safety net in place if their Tesla ever suffers an unexpected failure. That’s where an extended repair plan can come into its own.

What is an extended car repair plan?

An extended car repair plan takes over once the manufacturer's cover has ended. It protects against the cost of mechanical and electrical failures, so an unexpected repair does not become an unexpected bill.

What does it cover?

Our plans cover the parts that carry the real risk, including:

  • Drive motor and power delivery: the components that actually move an electric vehicle.
  • Multi-media components: a capped contribution towards navigation, audio and infotainment failures, depending on the tier.
  • Electrics: electronic systems and wiring, where failures are often complex and expensive to put right.

We also cover the charging system, steering, brakes, cooling and more.

Our repair plan range for Tesla.

Our plans are built around how a vehicle is powered. Fuel type picks the family. Age and mileage pick the tier. For a fully electric Tesla, that means Charge.

Charge. For fully electric.

Built around what an electric vehicle actually runs on, not a combustion plan with the engine crossed out.

  • Charge. Up to 12 years or 120,000 miles. Cover across the drive motor, inverter, charging system, power delivery and the electrical components that carry the real risk on an EV. While the manufacturer's battery warranty is live, the manufacturer holds the battery and motor on its own terms.
  • Charge+. Up to 10 years or 100,000 miles. Everything in Charge, plus the high voltage battery, electric drive motors and power delivery brought into cover, whether or not the manufacturer's battery warranty is still running.

We also offer Journey for petrol and diesel vehicles, and Drive for hybrids, across the rest of the range.

Which plan fits your Tesla?

The right tier depends on the age and mileage of the vehicle. Talk to our team and we will work out which plan fits, and what it covers in full. Full terms are set out in the plan booklet and available on request.
